Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 17/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front will move across the agricultural area on Friday morning followed by a ridge of high pressure extending over the State on the weekend. A second cold front is expected to move over the west and far south of the State on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayPossible isolated light showers about southern coasts. Mild in the south, warm inland. Light and variable winds, tending moderate northwest in the south, ahead of a moderate westerly change over Eyre Peninsula and central agricultural districts.Friday 18 AprilIsolated showers extending over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts in the morning, tending scattered early in the Lower South East, clearing from the south during the afternoon and throughout by evening. Early morning fog patches over the West Coast, Eyre Peninsula, Flinders and Mid-North districts. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm in the far north. Light winds, tending moderate westerly over central and eastern agricultural districts ahead of a moderate to fresh southwest to southerly change during the morning.Saturday 19 AprilPossible isolated light showers over the south of the Lower South East. Early morning fog patches over the west coast. Cool in the south, grading to warm in the far northeast.Sunday 20 AprilPossible isolated showers about southern coasts. Early morning fog patches in the west. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm in the far north and west. Light and variable winds, tending moderate to fresh northerly in the far west.Monday 21 AprilIsolated showers over southern and far western coasts. Warm with moderate to fresh north to northwest winds, strong at times in the south, ahead of a cooler moderate south to southwest change, reaching a line Mount Gambier to Adelaide to Tarcoola late evening. Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday evening to midnight Monday are expected to be less than 2 mm, reaching 2 to 5 mm about southern coasts.Tuesday until ThursdayIsolated showers over the agricultural area and far south of the pastoral districts, contracting to southern coasts on Wednesday then extending over the agricultural area and far south of the pastoral districts again on Thursday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Friday.Product IDS10033
