MELBOURNE - Apr 16/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high to the west extends a strengthening ridge of high pressure over New South Wales today, while a deep low remains over the eastern Tasman Sea. The ridge is expected to remain the dominant feature in the region over the next few days, briefly weakening during Friday as a frontal system passes across the south, before reasserting itself on the weekend. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayFine apart from the chance of a shower or two about the coast near Port Stephens. Early fog patches in the east, otherwise mostly sunny. Southeast to southwesterly winds, fresh along parts of the coast.Friday 18 AprilIsolated showers developing in the south, mainly about western parts of the southern tablelands. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Patchy morning fog in the east. Northwest to southwesterly winds, freshening in the south and west.Saturday 19 AprilFine apart from the chance of early showers in the southeast. Early fog patches in the east, otherwise mostly sunny. South to southwesterly winds, fresh along parts of the coast.Sunday 20 AprilEarly frost patches about the tablelands, otherwise fine and mostly sunny.
