U.S. Lentil Drop Surprises Market
VANCOUVER - Apr 5/14 - SNS -- International lentil markets were generally unaffected by the seeding intentions estimates for the United States.
The numbers caught some market participants by surprise because Canadian farmers are expected to adopt the opposite attitude to ward the crop and increase seeded area.
Farmers told the USDA they intend to reduce seeded area 12% from 362,000 to 320,000 acres.
