WASHINGTON - Mar 31/14 - SNS -- Lentil growers in the United States expect to plant 320,000 acres this year, down 12% from 2013, according to the USDA's seeding intentions estimates for 2014.
Prospective plantings are down in all four estimating program States. Montana's anticipated area is down 14% from 2013, while North Dakota growers expect to plant 7% fewer acres than a year ago.
