FH 2014 Red Lentil Competition Down
VANCOUVER - Feb 15/14 - SNS -- North American lentil markets finished the week on a nominally easier note as selling interest among growers and processors moved ahead of the short term needs of end users.
Red lentil markets were happy with the latest crop production estimate from Australia.
ABARES and Pulse Australia pegged this season's crop is down 20,500 metric tons (MT) from last year at 253,000 from 168,400 hectares.
