Lentils Slightly Easier

VANCOUVER - Feb 8/14 - SNS -- International lentil markets unchanged to slightly easier with many market participants more focused on logistics than pursuing new business.

Markets were unaffected by Canada's December 31 stocks in all positions report.

Inferred use was a record 1.027 million metric tons (MT) for the August through December period, or 48% of the available supply of lentils.

At 720,356 MT, exports for the period were 4,000 MT shy of the 2009 record.
