Turkey Drops Dry Bean Import Duty
ANKARA - Jan 23/14 - SNS -- Turkey has temporarily eliminated import duties on dry edible beans.
The U.S. agricultural attache for the country reports, "On January 21, 2014, the Government of Turkey decreased the import tariff on dry beans from 19.3% to zero until further notice. The Cabinet Minister Decision was published on the Official Gazette."
The change noted by the U.S. agricultural attache was:
ADDENDUM TO THE IMPORT REGIME DECISION
ARTICLE 1- The customs tax for the harmonized system codes (HS Code) and names mentioned in the table below has been revised in accordance with the number 1 supplement list to Import Regime Decision by the Cabinet Ministers Decision referenced 95/7606 and dated 12/20/1995.
