Hawaiian Coffee Yields Slump

WASHINGTON - Aug 12/13 - SNS - Hawaii coffee production is estimated at 7.00 million pounds (parchment basis) for the 2012-2013 season, down 8% from the previous season, according to the USDA's latest crop production estimates.

Damage from the Coffee Berry Borer combined with variable precipitation extremes during the season negatively impacted yields.
