Desi Chickpea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/13 - STAT -- Canadian Desi Chickpea markets finished the 2012-13 marketing year with prices offered to growers rising 3% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Desi Chickpea was CDN$623.86 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $604.39 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $722.01 per MT in October, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $551.15 per MT in July.
