USDA Sets Interest RatesWASHINGTON - Sep 1/10 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) today announced interest rates for September 2010. The CCC borrowing rate-based charge for September 2010 is 0.250%, unchanged from 0.250 in August 2010. For 1996 and subsequent crop year commodity and marketing assistance loans, the interest rate for loans disbursed during September 2010 is 1.250%, unchanged from 1.250 in August 2010. In accordance with the 2008 Farm Bill, interest rates for Farm Storage Facility Loans approved for September 2010 are as follows, 2.250% with seven-year loan terms, down from 2.500 in August 2010, 2.875% with 10-year loan terms, down from 3.000 in August 2010, and 3.125% with 12-year loan terms, down from 3.375% in August 2010. The interest rate for Sugar Storage Facility Loans for September 2010 is 3.375%, down from 3.625 in August 2010.
