CGC Reports Solid July Pea ExportsWINNIPEG - Aug 31/10 - SNS -- The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports 149,400 metric tons (MT) field pea were exported through licensed terminal facilities which are required to report to it all grain movement in July. The CGC data does not include exports in containers or from non-reporting terminals. The CGC reports exports are up from the 66,000 MT shipped the same month last year and up from the 142,300 MT shipped the previous month. For the entire 2009-10 marketing year, the CGC said 1,568,900 MT of peas were exported, versus 1,876,100 MT the previous season. So far this calendar year, pea exports total 924,000 MT, versus 1,081,900 last year. Field pea exports during the full 2009 calendar year were 1,726,800 MT, up from 1,449,200 in 2008.
