French Pea Exports Down SharplyVANCOUVER - Mar 9/10 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France maintained their slow pace in January, according to data compiled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP). Exports during the month totalled 9,535 metric tons (MT), down from the 16,280 MT shipped in December and nearly a third of the 26,110 MT of field peas exported the same month last year. This lifted total shipments so far during the 2009-10 marketing year to 107,900 MT, down 35.8% from the 168,115 MT shipped the first seven months of the previous marketing year.
