Pea and Lentil Tenders Reach 12,450 MT
KANSAS CITY - Feb 24/10 - STAT -- The quantity of peas and lentils covered by USDA PL-480 food aid tenders this season now totals 101,340 MT, compared to 140,830 MT last year.
Purchases of green peas are down 18,210 MT at 12,290 MT versus 30,500 MT last season. Food aid demand for U.S. regular lentils is down 15,280 MT from last year's 39,110 MT.
