Tight Grain Markets in HungaryVIENNA - Dec 9/03 - SNS -- Short supplies of both corn and wheat are adding strength to Hungary's internal grain markets this year. The largest price increases appear to be for what, which are nearly double last year and could advance another 25% to 30% based on spring futures trading of U.S. $234 per metric ton (MT) for May delivery. Surface transportation costs to three potential seaports, Constanta (Black Sea), Rijeka and Koper (both at Adriatic Sea), range between US $27 and $35 MT.
