Ukraine Meat Output Up, Dairy Down
KIEV - Dec 9/03 - APK -- According to State Statistics Committee, sales of animals and poultry for slaughter in Ukraine in January-November 2003 (live weight) constituted 2,214,700 MT, which is by 83,000 MT or 3.9% more than over the eleven months of 2002.
The sales of livestock for slaughter in organized agricultural businesses over the 11 months was 710,800 MT, which is 18.6% more than in January-November 2002, while the sales from private peasant households decreased 1.9% from the amount, sold in the 11 months of last year.
