Ukraine Sugar Milling Output Down 6.4%
KIEV - Dec 9/03 - APK -- As of December 8 Ukrainian sugar refinery plants produced 1.434 million metric tons (MT) of sugar from the 2003 crop beet, which is 6.4% less than the amount, produced as of the same date last year, national association of sugar producers "Ukrtsukor" has informed.
As of the date, the refineries received into processing 12.98 million MT of the beets, of which they processed 12.03 million MT. There are now 7 refinery plants in operations out of 121 that have been operated in this season.
