Vitamin Rich Egg DevelopedLONDON - Apr 4/01 - STAT -- Vitamin enhanced eggs are now being marketed by the Ontario, Canada based L.H. Gray & Son Ltd. The new egg is rich in vitamins E, B6 and B12 and are the result of the choice of vitamins fed to hens. The eggs are expected to retail for between CDN $2.09 and $2.19 a dozen. The company's first foray into enriched eggs came when it started feeding flaxseed to hens to produce an egg high in Omega-3 fatty acids. It is now working on eggs rich in folic acid.
