USDA Buys 7,400 MT PulsesKANSAS CITY - Jul 8/04 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 7,400 metric tons (MT) of pulses for shipment as food aid during August. Average prices paid for the commodities clearly reflect a shift in thinking from spot to new crop pricing on the part of processors in the United States, with the USDA paying less on average than on recent tenders.
