USDA Sets Cotton Import Quota
WASHINGTON - Jul 8/04 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation established a special import quota for upland cotton that permits importation of a quantity of upland cotton equal to one week’s domestic mill use. The quota will be established on July 15, 2004, allowing importation of 25,702,401 kilograms (118,050 bales) of upland cotton.
