USDA Estimates Pea, Lentil Stocks
WASHINGTON - Jun 30/04 - SNS -- Dry edible peas, lentils, and Austrian winter peas stored in all positions on June 1, 2004 in the United States totaled 571,000 cwt, 271,000 cwt, and 28,000 cwt, respectively, according to latest stocks in all positions report from the USDA.
Small, large, and all chickpeas (garbanzo beans) stored in all positions on June 1, 2004 totaled 20,000 cwt, 148,000 cwt, and 168,000 cwt, respectively. Small chickpeas are defined as peas that will pass through a 20/64 inch round hole screen.
