U.S. Growers Boost Edible Bean AcreageWASHINGTON - Jun 30/04 - SNS -- Dry edible bean growers in the United States responded to firmer prices for their crops in the weeks following the March seeding intentions report, according to today's USDA seeded area estimates. They boosted planted area 7% above their March intentions to 1.42 million acres for 2004, for a 1% increase over last year, though keeping seeded area down 26% from 2002.
