U.S. Bean Crop Nearly PlantedWASHINGTON - Jun 28/04 - SNS -- Seeding of this year's dry edible bean crop is nearly complete across the United States, with the northeastern growing area the only place where significant acreages remain to be planted. Interestingly, crop reporters in New York state noted, "Dry bean acres are expected to be high, as farmers will try to make up for lost corn and soybean acreage."
