Chickpeas Maintain Firm Tone
VANCOUVER - Jun 25/04 - SNS -- International chickpea markets maintained their form tone despite signs India could harvest its second bumper summer or kharif season harvest in a row.
The summer is not the most important pulse producing time for the country, but production sets the tone for imports through the availability of winter or rabi season crops. The better the summer harvest, the more price conscious the importers seem to become.
