ABB Closes 2003-04 Barley Pools
SYDNEY - Jun 24/04 - SNS -- The Australian barley marketing board, ABB Grain Ltd (ABB) closed its 2003-04 marketing pools.
For South Australia and New South Wales, this means the closure of the currently open No.2 Pools; for Victoria, the closure of the currently open No.3 Pool; and for Queensland, the closure of the No.1 Pool.
ABB will open a third pool in South Australia only for feed barley, with a gross pool indicator of $130-140 per metric ton (MT). Growers who deliver to either the Standard or Traditional Pool payment options will receive a gross first advance/payment of $90 MT.
