SWP Grain Handle Up Sharply
REGINA - Jun 17/04 - SNS -- The Saskatchewan Wheat Pool (SWP) reported a solid increase in the volume of grains, oilseeds and specialty crops handled through its primary and terminal elevator system so far during the 2993-04 marketing campaign.
Grain and oilseed receipts at the company's primary elevators are up 49% over last season at 4,497,000 metric tons (MT); while shipments from the system are up 24% at 4,487,000 MT.
