Peru Sees Flat Asparagus GrowthLIMA - Jun 15/04 - SNS -- Peru expects to expand asparagus production 1.5% in 2004 to 192,000 metric tons (MT) in 2004, increasing 1.5% compared to the previous year, allowing the vegetable to retain its status as the country's most valuable agricultural export. Asparagus exports contributed a record of about $206 million in export sales in 2003, reports the U.S. agricultural attache here.
