Growers May be Driving Chickpeas
VANCOUVER - Jun 11/04 - SNS -- International chickpea markets remained strong through the past week in the face of tight supplies in Mexico and limited competition from Turkey and other suppliers.
Most of current market strength does not appear to be coming from the tension between end users and processors or exporters. Instead, reluctant grower selling seems to be having a more powerful influence on spot markets.
