World Cotton Stocks BuildingWASHINGTON - Jun 10/04 - SNS -- Cotton production around the world in 2004-05 should end up greater than first thought, but this will be more than offset by increases in consumption, according to the latest forecasts released by the USDA's World Agricultural Outlook Board. World production is projected at a record 102.9 million bales, marginally above last month. Production is projected 10% above the 2003-04 season, due mainly to increases for China, Australia, Pakistan, and Brazil, which are partially offset by decreases for India and the United States.
