The California Clingstone crop is forecast at 1.15 billion pounds, unchanged from the May 1 forecast but 7% above 2003. The State experienced an adequate number of chilling hours, benefitting the Clingstone crop. Overall, bloom is reported to be good on all varieties. Fruit maturity is more advanced than last year due to record setting warm temperatures this spring. Fruit is reported to be in excellent condition with good size and uniform growth.
