Tight World Lentil Situation ForecastWINNIPEG - Jun 2/04 - SNS -- Agriculture Canada is looking for world lentil supply and demand to remain in relatively tight balance during the coming 2004-05 marketing year, with the stocks to use ratio expected to remain well under 10%. In a report prepared by Stan Skrypetz, Pulse and Special Crops Analyst with Agriculture Canada's Market Analysis Division in Winnipeg, the federal department predicted world lentil production and supply are forecast to increase by 11% and 9% to 3.30 million and 3.35 million metric tons (MT) respectively.
