ADM-Risoil Joint VentureDECATUR - May 26/04 - SNS -- ADM Nederland B.V. and Risoil S.A. jointly created Illitchvskiy Maslo Extractionniy Zavod (IMEZ), with each company taking a 50% share. Under the terms of the agreement, the joint venture will operate an oilseed crushing plant in the port of Illitchivsk, Odessa region in the Ukraine. The plant is strategically located adjacent to the Risoil S.A. Vegoil Tank Export facility, owned and operated by Risoil. Construction began in April of 2003 and the plant is due to be operational in November of this year. "This joint venture is a natural extension of existing Ukrainian operations for ADM," stated Paul B. Mulhollem, President and Chief Operating Officer of ADM. "Through our majority ownership of Alfred C. Toepfer International, we operate an active and growing network of grain and oilseed origination facilities as well as investments in export elevators and transportation assets within the Ukraine." Risoil maintains a strong trading network and operates the region’s most important sunoil export facility in Illitchivsk.
