38.75, standard mostly 38.75-40.50. Precooling and palletization included.
   STOCKTON DELTA DISTRICT, CALIFORNIA---Shipments 26-18-9---Movement
expected to decrease.  Most shippers have finished for the season.  Very
light shipments expected to continue for several more days. This year’s
total is approximately 1805 thousand weight as compared to 1527 thousand
weight for the period last year, which equals a 15.3 percent increase in
production over last year.  Exports increased 16 percent over last year.

   LOWER YAKIMA VALLEY AND WALLA WALLA DISTRICT, WASHINGTON---Shipments
35-27*-24---Movement expected about the same. Trading fairly active.

Consumer bunched 19.00-20.00. Cool weather, showers, and some hail continue

   MICHIGAN---Shipments 1-3-N/A---Movement expected about the same.
Trading active.  Prices generally unchanged.  28 pound pyramid cartons/crates
standard size bunched all-green 34.00-36.00.  The processing cash price
agreed upon by many processors and the Michigan Asparagus Growers Division
of the Michigan Farm Bureau is 62 cents for spears with a maximum length of
7.5 inches and 5/16 inch in diameter.  Total-to-date through May 15th processed
5.9 million pounds combined frozen and canned.  Last season total 6.0 million
pounds.  A few fields in Southwestern Michigan suffered damage from high winds
and heavy rain showers over the weekend.  Cooler weather forecast for beginning
of the week.
