No Moisture Shortfall in Northern BeansWASHINGTON - May 17/04 - SNS -- Drought will not be an opening season problem for the majority of dry edible bean producers in the United States, with moisture in North Dakota and Minnesota mostly adequate, while growers in Michigan are struggling with too much water. No seeding progress was reported for field beans in the state of Michigan during the past week. All field activity was slowed by wet weather.
