Good Field Pea Seeding Progress RecordedVANCOUVER - May 14/04 - STAT -- Seeding of this year's field pea crops is advancing a faster than normal pace, but last week's snow fall events in western Canada slowed grower activity. On the other hand, the snow did not appear to damage recently planted fields and will help replenish moisture levels. This is necessary, as the USDA continues to forecast declining soil moisture reserves across much of southern Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, North Dakota and Montana.
