Steady Indonesian Cotton DemandBRASILIA - May 14/04 - SNS -- Cotton production in Brazil is expected to expand rapidly in 2004-05, jumping from 1.25 million metric tons (MT) this season to a projected record 1.5 million MT from 1.25 million hectares. Bahia should be the leading state in rate of area and production expansion with new areas in western Bahia being brought into cotton production, notes the U.S. agricultural attache here.
