Steady Indonesian Cotton DemandJAKARTA - May 14/04 - SNS -- Demand for imported cotton in Indonesia should remain relatively steady through the 2005 calendar year at around 480,000 metric ton (MT). This reflects the fact domestic production is insignificant. The U.S. agricultural attache here reports the country harvests no more than 8,000 MT of cotton annually, "accounting for less than one% of the annual cotton use.
