Cargill Buying Agridea BrandMILAN - May 10/04 - SNS -- Cargill Animal Nutrition is buying the Agridea feed brand from ASA srl – Gruppo Pizzolo (ASA), Verona, a prominent Italian food and feed processing company and Agridea’s manufacturing facility in Modena with 33 employees, plus a network of 30 sales agents. The transaction is expected to close by the end of May. Richard Frasch, President, Cargill Animal Nutrition, said "Agridea is a well trusted business and brand with an excellent team of employees who we welcome to Cargill Animal Nutrition. This transaction ensures that both Cargill Animal Nutrition and ASA further reinforce their specialization strategies in their respective areas of expertise." Cargill Animal Nutrition, with its Purina, Sildamin and Agridea brands, will produce more than 500,000 tons of animal feed annually in five manufacturing facilities throughout Italy.
