Chickpea Markets Maintain Strength
VANCOUVER - May 7/04 - STAT -- Chickpea markets finished weekly trading mostly unchanged to firmer as market demand remained ahead of available supplies.
This is especially true of kabuli chickpeas, where shortages of all sizes has lifted Mexican markets. Tight stocks in the United States and Canada are providing buyers with no competitive alternatives, helping maintain prices.
