Shell Egg Use Jumps 13%WASHINGTON - May 6/04 - SNS -- Food manufacturers in the United States sharply increased the quantity of eggs they used in March, with the result disappearance soared 13% to 160 million dozen. In releasing the data, the USDA noted this lifted calendar year to date usage to 448 million dozen, up 5% from the 429 million dozen broken in 2003.
