Limited Recovery in Mexican FCOJMEXICO CITY - May 6/04 - SNS -- Fresh orange production in Mexico ended up larger than expected at 4 million metric tons (MT), but frozen concentrated orange juice (FCOJ) production is expected to remain relatively low because of stronger markets for fresh over processed product. Part of the problem, notes the U.S. agricultural attache here, is the "industry still considers that this will be a short crop, with insufficient volume to supply the FCOJ industry. FCOJ production in 2004 is expected total 17,000 MT, up from the 13,000 MT produced last year, but half the 34,000 MT produced in 2002.
