Solid Increase in Shelled Egg UseWASHINGTON - Apr 7/04 - SNS -- Food manufacturers sharply increased their shelled egg use during February, with the USDA reporting 142 million dozen were broken during February 2004, up 7% from February a year ago. During calendar year 2004, shell eggs broken totaled 288 million dozen, up 1% from the 286 million dozen broken in 2003.
