India Creates Phyto Barrier for Dairy ProductsNEW DELHI - Mar 23/04 - SNS -- Dairy products need to meet eight new conditions before they can be shipped to India under new phytosanitary rules. The changes are not being well received by many countries. As the U.S. agricultural attache here points out, "These requirements, which are in force, have the potential to stop all dairy product shipments from the United States. According to trade sources, conditions IV and V would be hard to fulfill for most dairy exporting nations, including the United States."
