Bangladesh Drops 15% Milk DutySYDNEY - Mar 23/04 - SNS -- Bangladesh has dropped a 15% supplementary duty on Australian exports of bulk milk powder, says Agriculture Minister Warren Truss. "Australia exported around $28 million worth of milk powder products to Bangladesh in 2002-03 - mostly from Victoria," he said. "Milk powder accounts for around 90% of all Australian dairy exports to Bangladesh. "I am therefore delighted that, effective immediately, our dairy exporters will no longer have a supplementary duty levied on their bulk milk powder exports to Bangladesh," Truss said.
