CN Rail Strike EndsMONTREAL - Mar 19/04 - SNS -- The Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) union ratified new three-year collective agreements with CN Rail, ending the strike which began February 20. Clerical, shopcraft and intermodal workers will return to work on the first daylight shift March 20. Members of CAW Local 100 (shopcraft workers) voted 69 % in favor of the agreement, while members of CAW Council 4000 (clerical, customer service, and intermodal yard workers) voted 81% in favor of the contract, which is retroactive to January 1.
