Argentina Expects 95,000 MT Cotton harvestBUENOS AIRES - Mar 17/04 - SNS -- Cotton production in Argentina is expected to end up at just 95,000 metric tons (MT) for the 2003-04 marketing year on account of reduced seedings and dry conditions. In the past few years, the area planted with cotton in Argentina has been difficult to determine due to the lack of resources on the part of the Argentine Government, notes the U.S, agricultural attache here. Therefore, planted area is estimated based on different sources whose analyses often vary considerably.
