Egypt Subsidizing Lentils, Fababeans
VANCOUVER - Mar 15/04 - STAT -- Egypt has added lentils and fababeans -- also referred to as fava beans or broadbeans -- to the list of commodities available to the country's poor at subsidized prices.
Blaming steeply rising consumer prices, the government also added rice, artificial ghee, tea, and pasta to the list; as well as increasing the size of vegetable oil rations.
