High Pathogenic Avian Influenza in CanadaOTTAWA - Mar 10/04 - SNS -- The discovery of high pathogenic forms of the H7N3 avian influenza virus on a Fraser Valley farm in British Columbia has resulted in a widening of bans on imports of Canadian poultry. Japan responded to the news by reinstating a country-wide ban on Canadian poultry imports. Last week, Japan had limited its ban to poultry and poultry products produced in British Columbia.
