The Logistics of Selling Pulses to Iraq
VANCOUVER - Mar 9/04 - STAT -- The end of the oil for food program and the end of trade sanctions against Iraq have created powerful opportunities for exporting regions to sell pulses to the country.
However, a recent trip by representatives of the U.S.-based National Dry Bean Council (NDBC) concludes it will take many months for trade to return to normal because of the need to rebuild the country;s infrastructure and to restart the Iraqi economy.
