Field Pea Demand Slows
VANCOUVER - Feb 27/04 - STAT -- Field pea markets ended the week under mixed conditions, with those in the United States supported by continued government buying, while markets elsewhere were tentative.
The international feed pea market has always been the floor for Canada, Australia and other net exporters of commercial field peas. With the collapse of demand from the Indian subcontinent and shortages of key livestock feed ingredients, feed pea buyers have become the dominant users of northern hemisphere peas.
