Myanmar Exports 59,450 MT Pulses in JanuaryBANGKOK - Feb 24/04 - STAT -- Pulse exports for the 2004 calendar year got off to a good start in Myanmar, with shipments totalling 59,450 metric tons (MT), up from 38,493 MT in December and 43,885 in January of 2003. Despite strong export clearances, ready availability of new crop merchandise is keeping pressure on prices. The situation is not helped by soft demand from Myanmar's largest customer, India.
